The CANIS Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless and shelter dogs through education, training, and community-based support. Based in Los Angeles, we serve local neighborhoods and partner with rescues, foster families, and adopters to strengthen outcomes for dogs in need. Our programs, including the Canis Foster Club, the Mutt Matchmaker Database, and training scholarships, help dogs gain stability and succeed in loving homes. By supporting responsible ownership and reducing euthanasia, we work to create safer communities where more dogs receive the care and second chances they deserve.
